Nazrul Islam appointed Director of Sales & Marketing at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden

Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden has officially appointed Md. Nazrul Islam as Director of Sales & Marketing effective from October 1, 2023.

Nazrul Islam’s journey in the hospitality industry began in April 2000 at Hotel De Castle, where he initially served as the Front Office Supervisor. Progressing through various roles at Royal Park from 2001 onwards, including Front Office Supervisor, Sales Executive, Assistant Manager, and ultimately as Sales and Marketing Manager from September 2007. During this period, he also contributed as a Senior Training Coordinator at Educity Bangladesh (Vocational Training Institute of Hotel & Catering DANIDA Project) between August 2005 and March 2006.

Continuing his career, he joined Dhaka Sheraton & Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in September 2007, dedicating five years of service until July 2012. Subsequently, in July 2015, he embarked on a remarkable chapter at Intercontinental Dhaka, initially as the Assistant Director of Sales, progressing to the role of Director of Sales by March 2021. His advancement within the organization was a testament to his unwavering work ethic, commitment, and adept management skills.

A highly motivated and results-driven professional, Nazrul specializes in crafting and implementing strategic sales initiatives, tactics, and action plans that drive growth. His expertise extends to successfully navigating pre-opening critical paths, vital for launching hotels, and executing sales strategies that secure significant market share and meet financial targets. His approach revolves around building meaningful relationships, discerning customer trends, and aligning these insights with the overall mission, vision, values, and strategies of the brand.

Among his recent accomplishments, Nazrul was honored as the Highest Revenue Achiever of the Year in 2022 for his substantial contributions to TORE. He played a pivotal role in securing the business for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) event in 2022. His personal involvement in facilitating the Brunei Sultan’s state visit to Bangladesh showcased his adept handling of high-profile engagements. Nazrul also led the charge in securing the 19th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh 2022 business and played a key role in the success of the International Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) ministerial conference in 2022. Additionally, he accomplished the D8 Summit in 2021 with notable success, further solidifying his reputation as a dynamic and accomplished professional in the field.
